BJORN RESSLE | HEE YUEN CHUN
Since opening his first gallery in Stockholm 1978, Björn Ressle rapidly gained domestic and international recognition for his exhibitions in the field of established and emerging contemporary art including Josef Albers, Yves Klein, Lucio Fontana, Sol LeWitt, Donald Judd, Carl Andre, Robert Ryman, Gunther Uecker and Pablo Picasso to name the few. As a graduate architect with focus in minimal and conceptual art, his high-standard connoisseurship and meticulous taste in fine art made him one of the prominent art dealer in Stockholm, Bogota and New York in 80s till now.
As an art advisor, he placed rare and important works to prominent collections; i.e., La Fine Di Dio by Lucio Fontana from 1963; Wall Drawing #4: A square divided horizontally and vertically into four equal parts, each with lines in different directions, 1969 by Sol LeWitt; TETE DE FEMME (ALICE B. TOKLAS) from 1908 by Pablo Picasso (consider as an important work by the art historian of Picasso, John Richardson); and Andy Warhol 48 X 48 IN (121.9 X 121.9 CM) FLOWERS (FOUR FOOT FLOWERS) from 1964.
Hee Yuen Chun received her MA degree from Christie's Education in New York. Before turning her attention to a career in fine arts, she received BFA degree from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, and worked in the global advertising agencies, Bates 141 and Publicis Worldwide, on both the account service and creative side managing dynamic range of international brands. After completion of curatorial internship at MoMA in New York, she found HYART Advisory to serve international clients.
Combining her creative background with her education, Hee Yuen is particularly interested in conceptual and minimal expression that fulfills her creative and critical thinking. Apart from secondary market, Hee Yuen is building her collection with strong conceptual works that she also advise to her clients to differentiate from mainstream collections.
As an art advisor/private dealer/curator, RESSLE | CHUN continues to focus on minimal / conceptual artists with international network and broader perspective to present works that are competitive in the international art scene. Not only working with known artists but discovering forgotten and under-recognized artists is also an important part of the mission at RESSLE | CHUN.
